Jungle Excursions in Punta Cana gain in popularity!
The Chavon River is a lovely waterway that runs 30 minutes west of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. This rugged area is a refuge overgrown with rainforest vegetation. It is, without a doubt, a recommendable site to explore by boat or in canoe. Experience the river where Rambo3 was filmed. The river flows through a deep gorge to the Caribbean Sea just east of La Romana. The banks are overgrown with a mix of dry tropical forest and real tropical rainforest. Traditional river boats leave just outside La Romana, a 30 minute taxi fare from the Punta Cana airport.

On the banks of this attractive river you can find a paradise in the jungle: the Tanama Jungle Ranch. You can visit this splendid property while vacationing in Punta Cana or Bayahibe. Surrounded by hills covered with true rainforest the ranch displays a large number of indigenous animals and plants. You can touch the iguanas, parrots, snakes and tarantulas. The tour aims to show you fun facts and weird appearances in this jungle ... the Wonders of Nature Tour ...

The Jungle Eco excursion explores the National Park del Este near Bayahibe and the Rio Chavon. The park is home to more than 500 flora species, 300 types of birds, and long stretches of beaches and underwater wonders, the National Park of the East is one of the most explored and protected areas in the country. While here visitors can hike, discover ancient Taino ruins or take part in bird watching excursions.

Both excursions are offered by PuntaCanaExcursions.com. Book online and save! Take a look at the great video!
